Custom Development and Delivery

From requirement discussions to prototypes and delivery, scope, timeline and acceptance criteria are agreed at the start of the project. You own the industrial design; we handle the electronics, display, touch, firmware and integration.

Process

Four stages.

This is a proposed process; the actual order and milestones are adjusted per project. Before each stage ends, we make clear what you need to confirm next.

  1. 01

    Discuss Requirements

Describe the product direction, reference products, use case and goals. You can start without a complete specification.

  2. 02

    Evaluate & Demonstrate

Confirm what is achievable for video connection, display and touch control, and identify what needs further testing.

  3. 03

    Customize & Prototype

Develop the board, display integration and firmware within the agreed scope, and produce a verifiable prototype.

  4. 04

    Deliver & Support

Deliver in the agreed form and support you through the electronics and firmware issues that come up during productization.

Delivery options

Two delivery paths.

Choose according to your product stage and your team's capability. Delivery scope is agreed at the start of the project.

Custom PCBA

Electronics tailored to your display, board dimensions, interfaces, power requirements and firmware needs.

  • Board dimensions and connector positions to fit your enclosure
  • Display and panel integration
  • Image orientation and display layout
  • Touch interaction and firmware development
  • Power and cable layout

Reference Design

An agreed reference design and pre-programmed chips, with development support for your own product integration.

  • Reference design within the agreed scope
  • Pre-programmed chips delivered
  • You complete productization and system integration
  • Support and licensing terms agreed per project

Delivered materials, firmware and licensing scope are agreed per project. Certification, complete-device manufacturing and after-sales scope are not part of the default delivery and are agreed when needed.

Before you start

How a project gets started.

Incomplete information is not a problem. Describe the points below and we can judge what to validate next.

  • Reference productAn existing product, or a form you want to get close to. Physical units, links or images all work.
  • Use caseWho buys it and where it is used determines display size, mounting and interaction trade-offs.
  • Industrial design and structureIf you have an industrial design or enclosure structure, board dimensions, connector positions and cable routing can be settled together.
  • Project stageConcept, prototyping or production ramp-up — we work differently at each stage.
  • Estimated volume and timelineUsed to judge materials and development pace; a rough range is enough early on.

We work with individuals and small teams; commercial terms are discussed per project.

FAQ

Questions you may have
before we start.

These answers apply to a first conversation. Scope and terms for a specific project are governed by what both sides agree.

I only have a product idea — can we work together?

Yes. Start with a reference product, use case and goals. From that we can judge the general direction for display size, mounting and connection, then fill in the specification step by step.

I already have a design or a display — can you develop around it?

We can assess it. Board dimensions, connector positions, panel model and structural fit need to be confirmed together. An existing display can also be assessed for driver and touch integration.

What delivery options are there?

A custom PCBA, or an agreed reference design with pre-programmed firmware chips. The two differ in materials, support and licensing scope, confirmed at the start of the project.

Can we develop it ourselves?

Yes, provided both sides agree clearly on the deliverables list, support and licensing scope. Delivered materials, firmware and licensing scope are agreed per project.

Does it work with every phone?

No. DP video output and touch control support are confirmed per phone model, system version and app. A USB-C port does not mean a phone supports DP video output.

How can we see a demo board?

Contact us about demo and sample arrangements; we can explain, along with your product direction, how far the current demo goes.

How are timeline, cost and volume calculated?

Assessed from the customization scope, materials and project stage. Once the scope is confirmed we give the matching timeline and cost; volume requirements are discussed separately for the development stage and later production.

Share a reference product or your design idea.

Let's discuss the electronics behind it.

Useful details: a reference product, your use case, size preference, project stage or expected volume. Incomplete specifications are fine.
